Peabody (Formerly Catalyst Housing)
Planned Maintenance, Reactive Maintenance, and Fire & Security Works
Our long and successful relationship with Peabody (formerly Catalyst) has lasted for over 16 years.
The scope of the services we deliver for Peabody today is almost unrecognisable in comparison to how we began, paying testament to the great working friendships we have formed with each other over the years.
Our initial contract remit was limited to providing services for reactive door entry maintenance and occupied rewires). We have grown from maintenance providers to major capital planned works partner, and passive fire services provider.

We have over 200 directly employed specialists and operatives who are trained in the fundamental principles of working closely with Peabody’s residents. All personnel are briefed on the importance of treating customers, members of the public and work colleagues in a kind, caring, respectful manner.
Our training programs focus on mindfulness, behaviour type identification, conflict resolution, empathy and active listening. We eliminate any room for confusion by clearly explaining to residents what we are doing, why we are doing it and where we are working.
East West Connect have always made our residents feel heard, cared for, and safe when undertaking their maintenance works.
We’re proud to have worked closely alongside them for over 15 years.
Peabody
Our in-house NICEIC accredited testing department carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports.
As part of our planned preventative maintenance works contract we undertake property rewires across London. Our engineering team provides periodic inspection and fault rectification for emergency lighting systems, maintains statutory logbook, and ensures Peabody meet the legal requirements for their buildings.
Our specialist fire safety teams install passive fire protection and new fire doors, maintain and annually test their fire extinguishers and suppression systems, and also provide in-house dry riser testing and inspection.

Alongside Kensington Housing Trust, Catalyst, and now Peabody we have grown our capability to deliver specialist services within the scope of our contract in-house.
Our team delivering the works are vastly experienced in the management of contracts within live residential schemes. By understanding the requirements of key contract stakeholders, we can achieve better value for our clients, across all contracts. Through Peabody we have gained essential knowledge and experience of residential customer care and management.

Fire safety planned preventative maintenance is a key aspect of our contract, closely followed by electrical and gas compliance.
These tasks are planned, and carried out, by our in-house team of NIC EIC, Gas Safe, and BAFE accredited engineers, specialists, and operatives. Our current EICR programme is scheduled to deliver over 5000 EICRs on behalf of Peabody this year.
