Proud of Perivale – A community coming together.
It was fantastic to be part of the Proud of Perivale community event this weekend, both as a member of the Perivale Town Team and as a representative of East West Connect.
The day started with a community litter pick, where around 40 residents volunteered their time to help make Perivale cleaner and greener. It was inspiring to see so many people giving up their Saturday morning to improve the area they call home.
The afternoon celebration brought the community together with something for everyone, including community stalls, a bouncy castle, face painting, free candy floss and slushies, free bicycle repairs, alongside visits from the London Fire Brigade and the Metropolitan Police, helping residents connect with local organisations and services in a fun and welcoming environment.
East West Connect was proud to support the event by funding the litter-picking equipment and by volunteering time throughout the planning and delivery of the day. Community partnerships like these demonstrate how businesses can work alongside residents and local organisations to create lasting social value.
A huge thank you to everyone involved in organising the event, all the volunteers, community groups, emergency services and, most importantly, the residents who came along and made the day such a success.
Together, we’re helping to create cleaner streets, stronger communities and a Perivale we can all be proud of.
