Earlier this summer, our engineers repaired the solar panels at Westcott Community Garden’s garden room, restoring power so activities and community events can continue all year round.
It was fantastic to return recently and see that impact first-hand while joining residents, families and partners for the Westcott Community BBQ.Â
The event welcomed 127 residents and 41 children for activities centred on nature, creativity and community connection.
This community-run project in West London brings people together to share skills and create a space everyone can be proud of.
Our Social Value Coordinator Martin Belfrage joined residents and partners to see how restoring the solar panels has helped keep this valuable community space accessible throughout the year.
From urban beekeeping and bee-friendly crafts to music, dance and creative activities, the weekend was a brilliant example of social value in action—strong partnerships creating lasting community impact.
A special thank you to Peabody and Emma Hanbury for helping make events like this possible.
