East West Connect in the Community

The team at East West Connect had a really valuable day this week visiting community projects and spaces across Ealing and Acton alongside Peabody and local partners.

It was fantastic to see first-hand the incredible work already taking place within local communities, and the opportunities for meaningful partnership working moving forward.

We visited:

  • Friary Park Youth Group
  • NFC Community Group
  • Leamington Park Community Centre
  • Westcott Park Community Centre
  • Westcott Park Community Garden

What really stood out was the passion, commitment and creativity of the people driving these projects forward every day.

From youth engagement and food support, to community gardening, safe spaces and environmental improvements, there is clearly huge potential for collaboration that creates genuine long-term social value impact.

Particularly inspiring was seeing how community gardens and shared spaces are helping bring people together, improve wellbeing and create opportunities for education, volunteering and community pride.

At East West Connect, we are keen to support initiatives that align with healthier, wealthier and happier communities -whether through volunteering, practical support, partnership working, environmental improvements or skills-based social value activity.

Thank you to Emma Hanbury and everyone involved for such a warm welcome and for sharing the brilliant work taking place across the boroughs.

Looking forward to developing these relationships further and helping turn conversations into action.
