Last Thursday, 16th April, the East West Connect team was proud to participate in a pivotal planning meeting for the Unity Centre in North-West London.
Led by Community Investment Lead, Pattrina Quashie-Ferguson, and Director of Community Strategy, Partnerships and Funding, Sahil Khan, the session focused on the plans for the Centre in the run-up to the big 20-year anniversary.
To celebrate two decades of service, discussions are underway to understand how the centre can be reimagined, with the overall goal to ensure it continues to evolve and provide even better support for the vibrant communities of the Church End and Roundwood Estates.
The day concluded with an insightful walkabout of the local area, visiting The Community Gardens, The Youth Hub, North Brent Community School and Church End Path.
Exploring these sites provided fantastic insights into the rich cultural and artistic diversity that makes this community so unique. We are excited to play our part in shaping a space that reflects that energy.
