We thrive on other people’s challenges.

Our company ethos is to consistently exceed expectations, deliver quality, on programme, and within budget, whilst always maintaining a safe working environment.

We take a modern approach to engineering building services.

Our trained and accredited in-house labour have the control and consistency to achieve our clients’ goals, whatever the demands.

East West Connect’s projects range in value from £50k to £16m and include many successful upgrades of heritage and listed buildings such as the Houses of Parliament, various Royal palaces, and 5* hotels such as the Langham and Royal Lancaster.

We’re vastly experienced in providing new and upgraded services installations to assist our clients in reducing their carbon footprint, and achieving their environmental and energy saving goals.

We have an in-house 3D scanning and modelling team who use the latest industry tools to provide millimetre accurate co-ordinated designs. Our people are creating easy to maintain services schemes that suit the most restrictive and sensitive of environments.

No matter the building, live – where stakeholder liaison is paramount, a traditional construction fit-out, or a deeply sensitive heritage building, we have the best team and the right mindset to complete the works to the highest standard in a safe and friendly manner.

Our Approach

Customer Focused

We manage our projects with the unique needs of each of our clients in mind.

  • Our flexible and adaptable working practices put client operations and timescales at the forefront of our planning.
  • We pro-actively engage with project stakeholders to ensure that their needs and goals are identified and incorporated into our programming, design processes, and methodologies.
  • Our staff develop open and trusting relationships with our clients, creating environments that encourage dialogue, collaboration, and the development of co-ordinated approach to their projects.
In-House Expertise

Our staff hold the qualifications and competencies to manage the most demanding of projects.

  • We have 60+ management and office staff, 250+ skilled and accredited in-house operatives, 15+ trainees and apprentices, and 2 graduate scheme junior engineers.
  • Across our business we place a large emphasis on personal growth, employee training, further qualification, and internal development.
  • We limit our reliance on sub-contractors to ensure we can control and predict the quality, reliability, and attitude of our workforce, something that we are immensely proud of.
Pro-Active Engineering

We’re experts in design development, and we bring a positive impact to each of our projects.

  • Dedicated project staff are engaged in the planning and engineering of each project from the receipt of tender.
  • Our passionate approach allows us to reduce project mobilisation requirements and commence our pre-construction processes immediately upon receipt of an order.
  • At site level we produce innovative engineered solutions to the daily challenges of co-ordination, planning services routes, and interfacing with other trades.
Widely Accredited

We hold accreditations across all building services, and our ethos is to continually grow our expertise.

  • Our integrated management system is ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 accredited for design, quality, and project management.
  • Leading the industry with NIC EIC, Gas Safe, NSI Gold, F-Gas, CHAS, BAFE, Bluesky, and Safecontractor accreditations for installation and site management.
  • We are the only building services company in the UK licenced to use the Hydrosphere dosed pipework filling system in-house. Hydrosphere allows us to test our pipework installations with pre-filtered system water, our initial fill of the system is our only fill, and this gives us the massive water savings that we are able to provide.
Transparent Processes

Our integrated management system (IMS) is constantly updated to ensure our projects run safely and efficiently.

  • The IMS provides a defined roadmap for each of our projects, from receipt of tender to handover and aftercare.
  • We use our IMS to manage our distinguished design, quality, safety, procurement, and planning processes.
  • Our IMS ensures that the installation phase is undertaken in accordance with the approved design, installation methodology, and programme. The various documents and procedures within the IMS provide easy to follow progress reporting for every facet of the works.
Strategic Commissioning

We focus on commissionability and accurate forecasting throughout the programme, from receipt of tender.

  • Our commissioning workshops are a regular and structured occurrence throughout each of our projects, with their frequency increasing as we approach the commissioning period.
  • A bespoke commissioning activity schedule (CAS) monitors the requirements of all parties, with completion progress tracked from the design phase.
  • One key strength of our CAS is sectional commissioning management, a key driver and potential asset to the successful completion of these works.
  • As the CAS document is developed alongside the client and project team, any partitioning of services into separate sections to be commissioned can be clearly shown and tracked individually, each with their own progress % shown, and their own deadlines.
Highly Experienced

Our business has been tackling the most demanding of engineering projects since 1988.

  • We have a proven track record of successful plant replacement projects taking place within live environments, and for each of these projects we were appointed as both the principal contractor and the lead co-ordinator.
  • Our evidenced portfolio of fit out works, works upon live, sensitive, permanently occupied, heritage buildings, and services infrastructure installations is envied by our competitors.
  • Many of our project teams have worked together for over 10 years. They have an implicit understanding of each other’s strengths which complement each other in a fluid and flexible approach.
Assured Quality

We ensure high standards and impeccable benchmarks are set and achieved throughout each project.

  • We believe that quality management is a pro-active, not a reactive process. Our ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 PQAL accredited integrated management system (IMS) ensures a right first time ethos.
  • The IMS effectively guarantees that our works are completed and handed over free of defects whilst being fully and correctly commissioned at completion.
  • Our management team monitor all works at site level to ensure that we adhere with our approved specifications and construction methodologies at all times.
  • The use of 250+ strong in-house labour for our works provides us with direct control of the quality of our output.
