Scope
- Carry out domestic gas servicing, repairs, and installations, alongside mechanical servicing tasks (pumps, valves, pipework).
- Assist senior engineers on commercial gas systems as part of your training pathway.
- Undertake planned preventative maintenance, reactive callouts, and minor works on associated equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of all work completed (manual and electronic).
- Participate in an out-of-hours emergency call-out rota and remain flexible outside core hours.
- Build effective working relationships with colleagues, clients, and customers.
- Ensure clear communication with customers, line management, and office support staff.

Duties
Key responsibilities include:
- Domestic gas servicing, breakdown response, and installations.
- Mechanical servicing (pumps, valves, pipework).
- Assist with commercial plant maintenance under supervision.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
- Manage van stock and obtain specialist components when required.
- Participate in on-call rota.
- Progress through structured training to achieve Commercial Gas Engineer status. To develop an
extensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical building services and a good understanding of ttheir interfaces with general building works associated with them. - To gain knowledge of the EWC employee’s handbook, EWC policies and processes and EWC ISO system of works.
