On Tuesday, East West Connect enjoyed a fantastic event with Cook for Good as we collaborated to serve the community.
We were put through our paces, cooking up some delicious dishes – if we say so ourselves! An array of food was on the menu, including pea, mint and feta soup with soda bread, and chicken shawarma, hummus and cous cous.
Cook for Good is a social enterprise that’s passionate about supporting those facing food insecurity, with a fully-stocked pantry and cafe to help those who need it most. Their corporate opportunities offer up a fresh take on team building, ensuring a fun experience for all whilst giving something back.
Based in one of Peabody’s residences, Cook for Good does a power of work to help their residents in time of need, providing support and a sense of community that brings the neighbourhood together.
A huge thanks to Cook for Good for having us: Simone Krueger, Nancy Levy-Vegh, Robinne Collie and Miriam Emanuel. The East West Connect team had a great time learning new skills and doing our bit to give back – we’re not quite Masterchef-ready yet, but maybe soon!
