High End Installation | Client: Knight Harwood
10-11 Great
Newport Street
14 luxury apartments within an iconic former jazz club and office space.
Modern technology combined with art deco design.
The high end apartments have a range of modern, interfacing services, including standalone automation systems using the KNX protocol, comfort cooling, central heating plant including CHP engine, concealed sanitaryware accessories, and a site wide Trend metering and control system.
UKPN ready
We upgraded the fresh air supply to the UKPN transformer room with new Durasteel ductwork to serve the higher rated plant.
Innovative techniques
To reduce risk on site and to improve installation times we utilised press-fit pipework technology and modular controls cabling.
Vital aftercare
Following the completion of the project we were retained directly by the client to provide planned maintenance services.
Controls design
We engaged our KNX specialists at an early stage and involved them in the procurement of plant to ensure system compatibility.

Combined services within hidden joinery details.
The large number of services within tight joinery access panels meant that a series of co-ordination workshops were held to achieve the required installation process. We made benchmarks and mocked up installations with the design team before agreeing a final methodology.
