4. Ensure all works are carried out to the current NSI and CAI approved codes of practice
5. Installation and maintenance of Security systems (CCTV, Access Control and Intruder)
6. Installation and maintenance of Door entry systems
7. Installation and maintenance of Fiber and Co-axial IRS. (this is TV and satellite distribution)
8. Installation and maintenance of Fiber optic and structured cabling networks.
1. Extensive knowledge and experience in access control systems, CCTV systems, Intruder Alarm. Essential
2. Extensive knowledge of Door entry systems Essential
3. Structured cabling – Fiber optic and copper solutions – Desirable
4. IRS coaxial and Fiber distribution – (this is tv and satellite signal distribution) – Desirable
5. Knowledge of the EWC employee’s handbook, EWC policies and processes and EWC ISO system of works.
6. Knowledge of the current legislation and good practice across the industry and identification of any areas where additional or updated training would be beneficial.
7. Understanding of the H&S at works act, current H&S legislation applicable to construction and the project involved with.
1. Full knowledge of extra low voltage systems and general practicalities of installing and managing these services.
2. A suitable knowledge and appreciation of the associated security system that go with this to facilitate review of process, programming requirements.
3. IT including spread-sheet software, word and presentation software, programming software and general software to allow project delivery.
4. Presentation and communication, in particular able in the use of the English language for verbal and written communication.
5. A developed ability to assess site conditions from a physical inspection and interpretation of intrusive surveys and non-intrusive surveys.
6. An ability to read and understand tender documents especially specifications, drawings and terms & conditions.
7. Able to plan and organise the work necessary to achieve the project requirements and key milestones.
1. To carry out all Extra Low Voltage jobs as needed.
2. To assist in the office where required.
3. Find the best engineering solution to allow maximum benefit to the project within the remits of the specification and standards.
