Josh Braithwaite wins at Henley Regatta!

A huge congratulations to our colleague at East West Connect, Josh Braithwaite, who was part of the winning team at the Thames Challenge Cup over the weekend. Racing for Thames Rowing Club, he and his team raced every day from Wednesday to Sunday.

32 crews competed in the Club 8s event as part of the Henley Regatta. No international athletes or students are allowed to enter the Thames Cup so the majority of athletes in this specific event have full-time jobs. Josh and his team beat ‘de Hoop’ from Amsterdam in the final on Sunday. Josh’s win enshrines him as an elite rower in one of the most prestigious events in the rowing calendar.

300,000 spectators attended Henley Regatta last week and the event was live-streamed on YouTube and BT Sport.
