Business Updates

New starters

It’s been an exciting period of growth for us and we’ve recently appointed the following new staff members to the following roles:

  • Construction Maintenance Site Engineer
  • Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
  • Firestopper

New apprentices & trainees

We’re keen to develop the next generation of engineers, and we’ve added 2 new electrical apprentices, and 2 new trainee fire and security engineers to our growing pool of young talent.

Staff wellbeing day

Following the success of our on site mental health and wellbeing course, we held another one!

This ensures that every member of our business had a chance to develop their techniques which can help manage the stresses and strains of modern life.

It’s good to talk, and we want to make sure that each employee has their voice heard, and their feelings respected.

Helping Our Communities

Youth football sponsorship

The teams we sponsor have experienced some real success in recent months. Harwell & Hendred U13s celebrated winning the league with a 6-0 win in front of the fans at Oxford City’s RAW Charging Stadium!

We’ve started sponsoring Crawley Down Gatwick FC Girls U-11s and they had their first match in the new kit, best of luck for the new season!

Finally, a massive congratulations to Bearsted Rovers U9s for winning the Kent FA Development Division C. We’ve proudly been sponsoring Bearsted for over a year, and it’s been a tremendous first full season with them. We’re all looking forward to watching the team develop and take on even greater challenges.

Haven House Children’s Hospice

Following our fundraising night at Amazing Grace London we raised £40,000 for Haven House Children’s Hospice and we were tremendously proud to visit the hospice to hand over our donation.

We also took part in an extremely rainy gardening day! Our staff tended to the beautiful grounds to make sure that the children in residence could have safe access to their outdoor play areas.

Audits completed

Over the previous 3 months our QHSE team has completed 105 audits across our various projects and contracts. These visits have ensured that each site is run in accordance with our high standards of health, safety, quality, and environmental management.

Site safety bulletins

We’ve issued the following informational safety bulletins to our staff over the previous 3 months:

  • Hot Works
  • Traffic Management
  • QHSE Compliance Summary 2022
  • Mental Health & Wellbeing
  • Passive Fire Protection
  • Asbestos

New defibrillator installed

To make the trading estate where we’re based a safer space for ourselves and our neighbours we’ve installed a defibrillator in our reception area. We hope to never have to use it, but it will be ready for action should the need ever arise.

One Last Thing

Our team at 41 Lothbury really know how to get things done!

As you may know, the City of London is a bustling metropolis, filled with busy streets and fast-moving traffic. It takes serious skill and nerves of steel to navigate the crowded alleyways and deliver major plant items safely, and on time.

We were on hand to film the whole process, capturing every exciting moment on camera. It was a real thrill to watch the journey unfold, and we hope that you enjoy watching it as much as we did creating it.

Our team didn’t let the attention get to them. They stayed focused on the task at hand, making sure that each item of plant was delivered without incident, and they succeeded. A massive thanks to our 41 Lothbury team for their hard work and dedication.
