As you are aware, in these very troubling times and following with the government advice at this time, we as a business had scaled our operations back considerably generally to emergency and compliance type works. Which still left a considerable part of our business operational throughout and a dedicated team operating both remotely and Skelton team from the office.
We had originally taken the hard decision to suspend our larger building site based works, as although government guidance is not conclusive, we felt that presently due to a multitude of factors from transport, location and level of people on site, that they were presently higher risk.
During this time we have now reviewed all methodologies, RAMS and Risk assessments and suitable measures have been applied to coordinate works within the suitable guidelines to include Health and Safety Executive, the TUC, the CBI and CLC guidance among others. Following this review and amended practices we have reopened sites with a soft start and constant review and monitoring to ensure that can adhere to these new measures with inevitable lower levels of labour. With the dedication of all our teams this along with our continued support has kept our works flowing in a safe manor and kept our client both very supportive and pleased with our proactive endeavours.
We would like to offer our thanks for the considerable support from our clients and supply chain during these hard times, without which we would have struggling to maintain such a strong position and will continue to do all we can to service our clients’ needs in a safe manner.
The people of East West Connect and our extended client and supply chain are like one big family and hence however hard this unprecedented situation becomes, we will pull through this together and see better times again hopefully sooner rather than later. But for now we will continue to put our people first and ensure they stay safe and follow the government guidance.

All the very best and stay safe
The East West Connect Team.
